"Worship" (Until The Kingdom Comes)

She closes her eyes
Everything else just slips away
She whispers words
Like a pendulum she sways

He raises his hand
Reaching for some love
Tears flow down
Yearning for a touch from above

We will dance
We will sing
We will pray
Until the Kingdom comes
Until the Kingdom comes
Until the Kingdom comes

He speaks with fire
His words carry out joy
He hopes to save
These girls and boys

She hugs the kids close
Hoping they’ll make the wise choice
She pours out her heart
In these lives, she’s a strong voice

We will run
We will serve
We will pray
Until the Kingdom comes
Until the Kingdom comes
Until the Kingdom comes

Down to Earth…

  1. I would love to turn your poetry into music!
I've been reading your blog for a long time, but for some reason I've never really looked at your poetry section. Maybe because your other posts are so inspiring and really seem to pierce my heart in the best way. I guess I just never really saw it fully.
And then today, I decided to take a look. And the words written here form a beautiful melody in my mind. My immediate reaction is to run to the nearest piano and sing these pearls of beauty straight to the heart of Jesus Christ; reverently as a poor beggar comes before a king.

  2. Hi there! I'm so glad you are enjoying my blog!
You can go ahead and write music to this poem for sure! I would love that...but please give me credit for the lyrics. If you post it on Youtube and paste the link in this comment feed I would absolutely love to hear it and feature it on my blog as a separate post! I would be excited to combine both our efforts to praise God. :)
